What style of yoga is offered at Santa Cruz Yoga?

  • Santa Cruz Yoga offers a wide variety of yoga styles for all levels of yoga, ranging from vinyasa flow, to restorative yoga, to yin yoga. Please check out our detailed class descriptions to find out more about the classes that interest you!

I've never done yoga before - where should I start?

  • Congratulations on having the strength and courage to start a yoga practice - you’ve come to the right place! We recommend starting with one of our Gentle Yoga classes or Vinyasa 1-2 classes, which give a more foundational explanation of the poses and breath work. Let the instructor know that this is your first class and whether you have any injuries or health issues so they can make the class as comfortable and enjoyable for you as possible.

This is my first class at Santa Cruz Yoga. What should I bring?

  • Please arrive to the studio at least 10 minutes early. This gives us time to check you into our system, for you to sign a waiver, to show you the layout of our studio, and to answer any questions that you may have. Please bring: Yoga mat and towel in case you get sweaty (we have a wide array of yoga props for students to use, including yoga mats if you forget yours), water bottle (we have a filtered water system to keep you hydrated),  comfortable clothing that is not too loose (it will float over your head in downward dog!) Yoga is done barefoot. We respectfully ask that your feet are clean.

I don’t have a yoga mat! Will you provide one for me?

  • Yes we will! We have yoga mats and other common yoga props for your usage and we do not charge a rental fee.

Do you have a Late Policy?

  • In an effort to create a sacred space and for your safety, Santa Cruz Yoga has a 10-minute late policy. If you arrive within the first 10 minutes of class, please wait outside the door for the instructor to let you in. We understand that life happens (traffic, work, etc.). If you are over 10 minutes late we invite you to look at our schedule and to come back as soon as you can!

I left a personal item at the studio. Do you have a Lost and Found?

  • If you think that you left something behind, check out the Lost and Found the next time that you’re at the studio. All unclaimed lost items are placed in our Lost and Found and are donated at the end of each month. Santa Cruz Yoga is not responsible for items that are lost or stolen.

Do you have showers?

  • We do not have showers at our studio. However, we do have dressing rooms and a restroom.

I'm a student or senior. Do I get a discount?

  • Yes you do! Students (with valid student ID), and seniors are eligible to pay $12 for a single drop-in class. Discounts are not given on class packages or automatically renewing contracts.

Do you have any New Student Specials?

  • If you are new to our studio, you are eligible for 1 of 2 offers:
    • Two classes for the price of 1: $15

    • One month of unlimited yoga for $35

I can’t get enough of Santa Cruz Yoga! What’s your best deal if I practice frequently?

  • If you practice with us 3 times a week or more, our best deal is the $95 monthly unlimited yoga membership that renews automatically. You must pay with a credit card, and each month your card will be charged $95. You are welcome to cancel at any time before your next billing date. This contract is not eligible to be shared with others.

Do you offer refunds on class passes or memberships?

  • We do not offer refunds on class passes, however we are happy to transfer any remaining classes to another individual. Memberships are paid month-to-month and are also non-refundable.

Do you have a Work Trade or Karma Yoga?

  • Santa Cruz Yoga provides an opportunity for committed yogis to work at the studio by cleaning, helping at the front desk, offering handy skills or artistic talents in exchange for yoga classes. We ask that you practice with us for a minimum of one month prior to being considered for work exchange. In addition, we require at least a 3 month commitment to your work trade shift.
