Megan Combies
Megan was first introduced to Yoga in 1999 where she instantly fell in love with the discipline. The freedom of movement, the inner focus, the clarity, and the connection of mind, body, and breath helped create balance in her life and she knew she was to share it with others. In 2002 her passion for fitness became a career, teaching group exercise classes such as Cardio Kickboxing, Strength Conditioning, and Yoga as well as Personal Training and Fitness Management.
Megan has earned the title “Exercise and Fitness Specialist” with her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State University. She is also a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA). Her personal interests are Yoga, CrossFitting, Cycling in the AIDS/Lifecycle, Running, and her family.
Coming from the fitness field, Megan was first influenced by styles such as Power and Bikram Yoga. She quickly became attracted to Vinyasa Flow and the spiritual connection or growth that this style embodied. She has since had the honor to study under Mark Stephens for her 200 hour RYT.
Her mission is to provide a fun and safe environment for self-exploration through being present to our body’s subtle energies, and being open to the process of transformation, one can live a balanced, healthy, and joyful life.
