Why this pose before that pose? How are they related? Why that particular sequence? What is your intention in teaching it, and does that sequence support your intention?
In this workshop, we will explore the basic elements of planning specific sequences and entire classes. We will look closely at the interelations among poses and how to best structure a class to make is safe for students to move as deeply as possible. We will draw from and deepen our understanding of functional anatomy and bio-mechanics as sources of insight into how the body works in the asana practice. You will leave the workshop better informed on how to creatively fashion sequences of poses that fit with your own teaching style and the needs and interests of your students.
To Register: $95 for Part II if registered by April 18, $110 thereafter. Pre-register for Part I & II (20 Hours) by March 21 for $175.
